Legendary London powerhouse jazz vocalist Aydenne Simone (aka 'Mama') is back at The Pheasantry to deliver a magical Christmas special, showcasing the new album ‘Blue Skies’ from Aydenne Simone & the Liam Stevens Trio with guest star saxophonist Ben Treacher.
The album ‘Blue Skies’ is just swinging! The ‘Blue Skies’ album is a delicious selection of jazz classics, recorded with the jaw dropping jazz pianist Liam Stevens and his trio.As well as showcasing the new ‘Blue Skies’ album, we all know, it's not Christmas without Mama! Well mama is back in the jazz kitchen cooking up ‘’All I want for Christmas is Swing!” Part Two!!. , Christmas classics with a swing twist that will leaving you singing all the way home and giving them her usual ‘Queen of Swing’ stamp!
Along with Aydenne and the Liam Stevens trio this year at the Pheasantry, we introduce into our guest star Ben Treacher.
Ben’s versatility as a musician has made him an in demand performer on the London and international music scene playing for a wide range of bands in a multitude of genres.
Ben regularly appears at renowned London jazz clubs such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex and The Spice of Life as a side man and with bands under his own name. He has played with an impressive array of critically acclaimed artists ranging in style and genre from Beverley Knight, Zalon (Amy Winehouse), Beardyman and Lee Ryan (Blue) to Johnny Dankworth, Kenny Wheeler and Norma Winstone in such venues as The Royal Albert Hall, The National Indoor Arena, the O2 Arena and the London Shard to name just a few.
Needless to say we are delighted to have such an incredible musician as our guest star this year.

In 1967 Aydenne's father gave her a jazz album "You're Mine You" by Sarah Vaughan, produced by Quincy Jones and the rest as they say is history .
